Welcome to toonate. I’m Nate Estate, the name behind this site and my YouTube channel. toonate is where I write up what I learn about video editing, cameras and gear, and using AI tools in a video workflow.
What you’ll find here
- Video editing: Final Cut Pro workflows, plugins, music and sound effects, and ways to edit faster.
- Gear: cameras like the Sony ZV-1 and RX100, DJI gimbals and microphones, and the accessories that actually matter.
- AI and tools: Apple Shortcuts, Gemini, and other automations I use around video work.
I also build my own tools and small apps. You can see them on the Projects page.
How these articles work
Most articles start as a YouTube video. The video is embedded in the post, so you can watch it or just read the steps. I write about gear I bought and used myself, often used, and I say what didn’t work. When a post contains affiliate links, I mark them with * and say so.
